The Poetic Souls Experience

The Poetic Souls Experience is a free open-mic event where you can hear or perform live inspirational poetry. Subjects include faith, love and life. Sometimes you will even find Christian hip-hop artists and singers come out and share original work.

The Poetic Souls Experience has been hosted by several churches and organizations throughout the Hampton Roads, and Northern Virginia areas since it began in 2005. It has even gone as far south as Georgia. It's not your average open-mic. Never intentional, but it almost always turns into a true worship experience that you will not leave the same way you came in.

This open-mic is a perfect weekend event for your youth or even your young adult or singles ministry. Often times it is incorporated (time-condensed) as a part of conferences. Or, maybe you have always wanted to start a regular open-mic for your congregation or organization, but you're just not sure how to get it started. Let us come in and share with your ministry/organization leader(s), what we've found to be successful in ongoing open-mic events.
