About Poetic Souls Inc.

Established in March 2005 by Ryan "Jenks" Jenkins, P.S.I. is an organization whose goal is to inspire the world ministering through poetry and through our programs and activities that uplift, empower and changes lives.

P.S.I. is a non-profit organization. It operates and survives solely off the direction, guidance and blessings of God and those He would have to bless us. Husband and wife team Jenks & Lisa J. are the faces behind the organization. Both are writers and perform but you will usually see Jenks on the stage and Lisa J. working everything else in the background.

Behind the Organization

Ryan "Jenks" Jenkins is a graduate of Old Dominion University. He has been writing and sharing his poetry on stages for over 15 years. As a former recipient of the distinguished Men of Tomorrow Award, his passion lies in bringing out the potential of others, particularly young African-American men. Not only is he the founder and president of P.S.I. he is also that of Jenks Corporation. An organization established to fulfill his aspirations outside of his love for the spoken word.

Alicea "Lisa J." Jenkins holds a degree in business and is currently studying Psychology at Regent University. She has been writing poetry, short stories, and plays for many years. Having the experience of being a teenage parent, her passion lies in uplifting the self esteem, expanding the minds and broadening the expectations of young African American women.
